Christmas

This year we spent Christmas by ourselves at home. I honestly thought it was going to be a fairly quiet uneventful Christmas but I was wrong. We started Christmas morning off by discovering that Brady had this horrible rash from head to toe. Not sure what it was from or what might be wrong with him we decided to call our pediatrican on Christmas. She said that since he didn't have a fever not to worry about him and bring him in the next day.
Since the Dr. said we shouldn't worry we went ahead and enjoyed our day. We started the morning off by opening gifts. Brady had very little interest and spend most of the morning sitting in someones lap eating cherrios. Brooklyn was all for opening gifts and if you didn't keep an eye on her would open other people's gifts. The kids got lots of fun new toys, books, and clothes. After opening gifts we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we even got Brooklyn to eat a half of one. Once we finished eating we pretty much spent the day lounging around and playing with the kids and their new toys.
Then on to dinner. We were all ready to sit down and have a nice quiet family dinner when one of the fire alarms started going off, and then another and then another, until all 8 of them were going off. So Mark and I ran around the house making sure there wasn't a fire anywhere and trying to figure out how to turn them off. After figuring out that they are wired to the house and getting a ladder for the vaulted ceilings we got them all turned off and returned to the table where we found that Brooklyn had eaten all of her dinner and was done, and our food was cold. So much for a nice quiet family dinner.
We took Brady to the dr. the next day and she said his rash was from an allergic reaction we just don't know what caused it. Hopefully we don't have any problems in the future but atleast we will know what we are dealing with next time.
