Hair Cuts

On Memorial day we took the kids to get their hair cuts. I got tired of people calling Brady a girl so we decided to go for something short. I was worried that he wouldn't sit still long enough to get his hair cut but thanks to the bumbo he stayed in one place and did a wonderful job of sitting still. After getting his hair cut he looked like a whole new person. His hair is a much lighter color now and I think he even looks less chunky. Before:

Isn't he cute with his new spiky hairdo?
Brooklyn also did a great job of sitting still. Here is her before picture:

Princess for a day!

Brooklyn often crowns mom the princess for a day and she happily wears her crown around the house as she cooks and cleans, but the other day Brooklyn decided to make Brady the official princess for a day. Surprisingly enough he didn't seem to mind wearing the crown and getting lots of attention from Brooklyn.

First Word

Brady said his first word yesterday and it was "Ma Ma." He follows me around the house saying "Ma Ma" and as soon as I pick him up he stops. It is so cute and it just melts my heart when he is calling for me. Brooklyn's first word was dad so it's fun to be the first this time. Brady is growing up so fast. He is crawling everywhere, getting into everything, pulling himself up on things, and can even stand on his own for a few seconds. I don't think it will be long and he will be walking. Here are some recent pictures of Brady.

Dress up!

Most little girls love to dress up. Most probably dress up in little princess outfits. Brooklyn likes to wear my oven mits as shoes. She also loves wearing her high heels as well as her snow boots. Sometimes both at the same time. Here are a few pictures of her dressing up Brooklyn style.

Laundry Song

Enjoy the following two songs sung by Hilary Weeks. They describe my life perfectly. Especially the laundry one. There are always laundy disasters at my house from white clothes turned a different color to chapstik in the dryer. Oxiclean has become one of my best friends.

Congratulations!

This is a week overdue but we wanted to say congratulations to my brother Blake and his wife Hailey on the newest addition to their family. Their daughter Sophia was born last week. We are so excited to be an Aunt and Uncle on my side of the family and to have a cousin on my side for Brooklyn and Brady to play with. We can't wait to meet her.
