Locks of Love

It's that time again for Tarah to chop off all of her hair and donate it to Locks of Love. Besides chopping it off to donate, it was time to get rid of the long hair with a baby coming. This time she was able to donate just over 10 inches. She is enjoying her new hair cut. Mark is anxiously counting down the days until BYU's first football game, and is praying his wife doesn't go into labor during a game. Mark has been busy with work stuff, and will be finished painting the baby's room tonight. Then we will be busy getting everything set up and ready to go. We don't have any big plans for Labor Day. Just hanging out around here and getting things ready for the baby, but we will be attending a neigborhood ice cream party on Saturday and look forward to meeting some of our neighbors. The picture is the latest pregnancy pic with new hair cut.

Congratulations!

This is a week overdue but we wanted to say congratulations to Mark's brother Brent and his wife Kelly on the newest addition to their family. Their third daughter Laney was born last week. We are so excited to have another niece and another cousin for Brooklyn to play with. We can't wait to meet her.

Brown County Fair

Last week we took Brooklyn to the Brown County Fair. Well it really isn't anything worth talking about. It was pretty lame for the most part (atleast compared to the Idaho State Fair) but since it was free to get into we won't complain. Brooklyn enjoyed all the animals. There was a kiddie barn where the kids could pet the animals. Brooklyn liked being able to touch the animals. There was a little horse named Peanut who was very friendly. He came right up to us and even put his face right into Brooklyn's face, but then he sneezed all over Brooklyn. She didn't enjoy that part very much. Overall we had a great time seeing the animals and eating the yummy food.

Ultrasound

Today we had a 35 week ultrasound. We have no ultrasound pictures to post because like Brooklyn this baby is camera shy and doesn't want his face shown. According to the ultrasound and Dr.'s estimate the baby currently weighs 7lbs and I've still got 4 1/2 weeks to go. Looks like we will be having another huge baby. The Dr. said that at my next appointment in two weeks we will consider induction a week early if my body is ready. I am hoping for a week early, so he won't be more than 10lbs. The pictures below are of Brooklyn's finished room.

Big Girl

Brooklyn is officially a Big Girl now that she is out of the crib and sleeping in a big girl bed. Mark finished painting her room last week, and we moved her back in. We still need to put up her curtains and then it will be done. She seems to like her new bed and new room, it's just getting her to stay in bed long enough to fall asleep but we are making progress. We will post pictures of her room later. On Saturday Mark and I cleaned the church, while Brooklyn watched. Then we had a BBQ at some friends. We have enjoyed watching the olympics and can't wait for the track and field events to start. The Brown county fair is happening this week, so we hope to attend the rodeo and take Brooklyn to see all the animals. Besides the fair and olympics we will be getting the baby's room ready. We don't have too much longer to get everything accomplished.

After the Storm

Here are the pictures from after the tree removal company came to take care of the trees. They will come back in 3 to 4 weeks to finish taking the stumps out and hauling away any wood the city won't take. Once they are done taking the stumps out we will have to rebuild part of our fence and most likely reseed our grass. Brooklyn and Tarah both have colds so Mark has been busy taking care of his two girls and doing things around the house. He has been quite the trooper lately taking care of all sorts of projects. We love him very much and are very appreciative of all the hard work he does for us.
