St. Louis Attractions

Our friends from South Dakota made a quick trip down to visit. While they were here we went to some of the tourist attractions. First we went to the arch. Since we had a bunch of little kids with us we went up in the arch but didn't do all the movies and other things you can do there. The ride up and down was a little scary, but the view was awesome. Here is a picture of Brooklyn at the top of the arch enjoying herself.
This is a random picture of Brady playing with the pots and pans. The next two pictures were taken at the Butterfly House. The pictures are kind of blurry because the humidity kept fogging up my camera lens. All the kids had a great time at the Butterfly house.
One of the other places we went to is the Crown Candy Kitchen. It was built in 1913 and is one of the oldest and most popular attractions in St. Louis. We first found out about it when watching Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel.
Here is a picture of the front of the store. It was like stepping back into time.
Here is Adam from Man vs. Food trying to finish the 5 malt challenge. The 5 malt challenge is drinking 5 malts or shakes in 30 min. Anyone who can drink five 24 ounce malts or shakes within 30 minutes gets them for free. You also get your name on a plaque in the store and receive a shirt. Each malt or shake is equal to three of the glasses you see on the table. Adam was not able to finish the challenge.
We did not attempt the challenge but the shakes were delicious.
Here are the girls enjoying their ice cream.
