Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we drove out into the country to go pick some pumpkins. The drive there was beautiful with all the leaves on the trees turning color. When we got there we went and played in the kids area that had slides, a climbing wall, some small mazes, and some animals. After playing in kiddy land we went on a hayride. Brooklyn enjoyed that but Brady had no interest in sitting on someones lap. After the hayride we picked out our pumpkins. St. Louis had tons of rains earlier in the week so instead of going into the muddy field to pick pumpkins we just picked out some from ones they had all ready picked. Brooklyn insisted that she get a kid pumpkin and not a baby pumpkin. She enjoyed picking out the pumpkins and pulling them around in the wagon. Everynight she asks us when she can go back. Brady newest talents are giving people big slobbery kisses on the cheek, but you have to watch out because he bites. He also loves to give high fives and to play ring around the rosie but he prefers to not fall down at the end. Brooklyn insists if you are going to play ring around the "suzies"(as Brooklyn calls it) you must fall down. If you aren't going to fall yourself, she will make you fall. Brooklyn's vocabulary is growing more and more everyday and she says some pretty cute things. When Brooklyn talks to Mark and he doesn't respond right away she comes to me and says, "He don't hear us." The other day I went to give Mark a kiss and Brooklyn said, "Mom stop! wait, no bite him!" Brooklyn has tonsillitis and has been quite clingy this week so we have spent a lot of time snuggling and watching movies. Mark is enjoying his new job and seems to be adjusting well to an office job. We miss not having him home during the day for meal times and breaks, but now we really look forward to when he comes home from work.
